Body Test Analysis

Body composition and measurements, so progress is measured rather than guessed.

Body Test Analysis

What this actually involves

The scale is a poor instrument on its own. It cannot tell you whether the kilogram you lost was fat, muscle, or the water you were holding after a salty meal.

A baseline at the start and the same measures at review turn that into something you can read. It is also how you find out early when a plan is working on paper but not in your body.

  • The same method every timeMeasured the same way, so the numbers compare.

  • More than weightComposition and tape measurements, not a single figure.

  • Explained in plain wordsWhat each number means, and what it does not.

  • A baseline you keepYour starting point, recorded, so later change is real.

How it is staged

Three stages, in this order

Each stage ends with a decision point — nothing moves forward on autopilot.

Baseline

Stage 01

Baseline

Body composition, measurements and a food history recorded at the first visit.

The plan

Stage 02

The plan

The numbers inform what the plan targets, and which of them we are watching.

Re-measure

Stage 03

Re-measure

The same measurements at review — the comparison is the whole point.

Why it is done this way

What you get out of it

A real starting point

Change is only visible against a baseline.

Beyond the scale

Composition tells you what the weight was made of.

Early warning

A plan that is not working shows up here first.

Start to review

Compared against your baseline, not against a feeling

Every stage is recorded — vocabulary, sentence length, intelligibility, measurements and, where you have them, blood results. You see your own numbers next to where you started, which beats being told it is going well.

Questions

About body test analysis

Is body composition analysis exact?

No, and anyone saying otherwise is overselling. Consumer devices estimate rather than measure directly, and hydration, food and time of day all move the reading. Measured consistently, the trend is useful even when the absolute number is not.

How should I prepare?

Come at a similar time of day each visit, normally hydrated, and not straight after a heavy meal or a hard workout. Consistency matters more than any single instruction.

Do you do blood tests?

Blood work is ordered and interpreted by your doctor. Bring recent results and they will be taken into account in the plan.

How often should I be re-measured?

Every few weeks at most. Measured too often, normal fluctuation looks like progress or failure when it is neither.
